I just wanted to say a huge, huge thank you to Peter and Caroline from Bespoke Author. They have been absolutely amazing. I wrote a book, "Not Just A Dog" and I thought I'd done the hard part, actually getting my book finished. I really wanted to self-publish but was completely overwhelmed with how to even go about it. I'm so untechnical I didn't have a clue what to do at all and how to get my book from my laptop and turn it into a paperback and ebook. So I searched on Google for people that might be able to do cover designs. And then I still had the problem of the interior. I didn't even know how to format that, how to actually put it onto Amazon or onto any of the publishing places that book sellers could get it from. And then, by chance, I came across Bespoke Author. I read the reviews, watched the videos, and I thought, I really love the sound of these people. So I got in touch. They sounded human. And they were, right from the word go, completely human. For somebody like me, who felt that I'd written the book and that was as far as I could go with it, if it hadn't been for them, my book would still be on my laptop. I'm also an "options" girl and luckily it's true that you can make unlimited changes. I thank God for that because I'm amazed they didn't lose patience with me. Peter, making the cover and Caroline doing the interior formatting, were so patient, just so kind and so human. They both gave great advice as well. It was like having friends alongside you, but friends who know all about publishing a book. My book is called "Not Just A Dog" , to help people who are grieving when their dog dies. Actually, I should say "our book" because our dog Poppy was the inspiration behind it. Beforehand, I had no idea really what it was going to look like and now, holding it in my hands, I still can't actually believe that I've written a book and it's out there and it's selling and will be in Waterstones in our local town when they do a display for Grief Awareness Month. The thought that my book is going to be in a bookshop, is just incredible. And I don't think, without such a fantastic cover, and without the amazing help with formatting, it would be taken so seriously, and I wouldn't be having the lovely reviews that I'm having. I'm sure that people are finding it on Amazon because of the cover, and Peter was right, it needed to stand out. So, if you're in any doubt about who to ask for help with getting a book that you're self-publishing out there, I one hundred percent recommend Peter and Caroline. They have been amazing from the beginning. And they're still checking up now on how we're doing. So thank you to both of them so, so much and best of luck to anybody out there who's written a book. Peter and Caroline, the team behind Bespoke Author, are intelligent, professional, and responsive. They were recommended by a colleague, and I couldn't be happier. Firstly, they were prompt. Every step was completed with flawless expertise and on time. Always. I sent Peter a photo of a cover I liked and tried to clarify how mine (easier to envision than explain!) differed. The front and back covers arrived (in several formats) on time, but differed in small ways from what I'd envisioned. I returned it with clarification, that Peter interpreted as if we'd worked together for decades. He 'got' what I wanted and returned what, for me, was the perfect cover. We discussed font, an issue on which we had differences, initially, and when he provided examples with his font suggestion and mine, it became clear who the professional designer was! His font was SO MUCH better. Apparently, many cover designers will not tweak their original interpretation without a change fee, but this was not the case with Peter, who seemed honestly concerned to accurately represent my vision. When it came to formatting the text, Caroline did a perfect job (also providing it in several popular formats so that the varying requirements of publishers would be met). Naturally, I found editing errors as I read through the text, and she corrected these in short order. In the past few years, there have been other tweaks I've asked her to make, and she's made them flawlessly and according to the agreed-upon timeline and with minimal and very fair charges. Two years after (self) publication (An American in Pandemic Paris), she's adding a QR code to the front matter that directs reader to the chapter illustrations on my Instagram profile. My book gets better each time it leaves the capable hands of Peter and Caroline. I'm eager to finish my next book so I can work with this delightful team again!

Peter is a true pro at what he does. I had a challenging cover to make for a self-published horror novel with several unique requirements. Peter and Caroline at BespokeBookCovers were easy to deal with and the cover design process was simple and straightforward. They delivered the cover my book needed after just a few simple revisions (revisions are free!). The front cover Peter designed visually communicated exactly what my novel was about and the back cover packed in lots of text without looking cluttered. I am the author of Dear Lottie. This beautiful book cover was designed by Peter and Caroline. When I was looking for a designer for Dear Lottie, I searched online for months and followed many designers on Instagram, but no one really stood out for me and I wasn't really keen on the designs and the styles I was seeing. What I loved about Bespoke straight away was they will revisit your design over and over again at no extra cost until you are a hundred percent satisfied with the cover.
